Traditional Farmhouse Stay in Ena City

A traditional Japanese farmhouse surrounded by deep mountains and quiet nature.
“Kannagara” is a Shinto term meaning living in harmony with the will of nature.
This home belonged to generations of Shinto priests, and the guesthouse was created from a wish
to preserve my grandparents’ memories and to share the calm spirit of this place.
Please enjoy a peaceful and timeless stay in the mountains of Ena, Gifu.

Located in Iiji, Ena City — about one hour from Magome-juku and Tsumago-juku on the historic Nakasendo Trail.

Our story

This house has been in our family for generations, once serving as the residence for the Shinto priests of our village—including my grandfather.

Growing up here, I watched my grandfather protect the traditions and the quiet spirit of this land.

Today, we have opened these historic doors to welcome guests from around the world.
